@unite for individuality
What do conservative values have to do with surgery that corrects a painful problem, and why would you be sad @Freya did it? I had a friend who had a breast reduction. Her bra straps were digging furrows in her shoulders and she was dealing with constant back pain. I don't see how it would have been more conservative to keep suffering. It isn't about "uniqueness".
What's conservative is for each person to do what works for them,
and not try to conform to some collective "standard".
Beauty comes in many shapes and sizes.
Hollywood's narrow standard of beauty is very harmful to many people.
Many young women harm themselves with eating disorders, etc.
trying to conform to a ridiculously narrow standard.
Some small women want to be larger,
and some large women want to be smaller.
The choice should be completely hers.
Some large women don't like the discomfort,
and some large women enjoy feeling special.
Again, the choice should be completely hers.
It makes me feel REALLY sad when someone
gets a reduction just to try to please others.
