« on: June 22, 2017, 11:45:59 pm »
The White House announced a slew of new nominations to key administration posts on Thursday, including the nomination of New York Jets owner Woody Johnson as U.S. Ambassador to Britain.

Johnson has served as the Chairman and CEO of the New York Jets and the CEO of the New York Jets Foundation since 2000. He has also spent 30 years as the Chairman and CEO of The Johnson Company, a private asset management firm.

Here's another, just ONE, more JNJ pip.

J&J Fights $327 Million Risperdal Verdict Saying 'No One Was Harmed'
Lots more links in this one too.

http://psychroaches.blogspot.com/2013/03/j-fights-327m-risperdal-verdict-saying.html

Why do prescription drugs cost so much?

The Industry cover for decades has been to claim it's their exorbitant R&D costs.

Here's a year by year breakout from 1994 to 2010 from the State Court, and the quoted first line was from the Judge To JNJ's Lawyers.

"this Court finds the actions of the Defendants, upon this audience, to be detestable."

Detestable.

"Annual Sales of Risperdal worldwide per annual reports of Johnson & Johnson, Inc.
     1994: $0.172 Billion
     1995: $0.343 Billion
     1996: $0.502 Billion
     1998: $0.588 Billion
     1999: $0.892 Billion
     2000: $1.083 Billion
     2001: $1.845 Billion
     2002: $2.146 Billion
     2003: $2.512 Billion
     2004: $3.05 Billion
     2005: $3.552 Billion
     2006: $4.180 Billion
     2007: $4.697 Billion
     2008: $1.309 Billion
     2009: $1.425 Billion
     2010: $1.50 Billion
Total for the period: $29.796 Billion
Testimony at trial indicated that the profit margin for sales of Risperdal was 97% or $28.90 Billion for the period of 1994-2010"

There is no such thing as 'Behavioral Science'. Pairing the words creates an oxymoron. It's hype to sell drugs.

Another excuse to sell JNJ drugs.

http://www.rwjf.org/en/how-we-work/grants-and-grant-programs.html

RWJF funds many initiatives in support of our vision for a Culture of Health. However, we do not make grants to individuals, and very infrequently support foreign organizations or organizations that are not tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Specific activities we do not fund include:

Ongoing general operating expenses or existing deficits
    Endowment or capital costs
    Basic biomedical research
Research on drug therapies or devices
    Lobbying of any kind

Except for our JNJ's money to sell Obamacare, Global Warming, Cap and Trade

I could spend days going through RWJF's grant pages but, and if, you want to do it, they spend money They got from Medicare and Medicaid for their drugs and devices to Social Engineer people into becoming drug addicts and consumers of more of their products.

Here's what the aforementioned JNJ Risperdal Is, because there is no such thing as a drug 'Side Effect'. There are only 'Direct Effects' from a drug.

Side Effect is Industry weasel speak to soften their liability in Court after the fact.

JNJ's salesforce was pushing this stuff to Docs for children before JNJ bought FDA approval for kids.
That's called Off Label Marketing and it was Illegal.

So, NO, Woody Johnson has no business whatever being placed in a position representing the public trust of the United States and especially not to an Ally of ours as important as the U.K.

Sounds like a truly wonderful ambassador, what with the special relationship and all.

That were sarcasm - he's not going to do well here.

Between 2004 and 2006 the FDA MedWatch program received 4,956 Individual Safety Reports naming Risperdal (risperidone) the Primary Suspect Drug for 1,935 distinct adverse reactions including abnormal respiration, respiratory arrest, respiratory distress, respiratory failure and respiratory tract infection.

All 1,935 Risperdal side effects are listed below in alphabetical order.

I'm not a doctor, but looking at that list it looks like every possible malady (and some not) that was experienced by someone while they were taking the drug.  A useful list as raw data, but a big leap to calling them side effects.

"Alcohol Detoxification, Alcohol Poisoning, Alcohol Use, Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome, Alcoholic Psychosis, Alcoholism"

Now were these folks driven to drink by Risperdal (probably actually warned to limit alcohol use in conjunction with), or ...?

"Amputation of Penis"

???  Risperdal cut off someone's Johnson?  Now at least we know what drove him to drink.

"Drug Administration Error"

We'll get to this one in a minute.

"Drug Prescribing Error"

I guess the Pharmacist was on Risperdal, too.

"Ejaculation Failure"

See "Amputation of Penis", above.

"Foreign Body Aspiration"

OMG, you could choke on it (or simply choke on something)?

"Genital Rash"

Actually cured by Risperdal, see "Amputation of Penis", above.

"Incorrect Route of Drug Administration"

Oh, why don't you shove your Risperdal up your...

"No Adverse Drug Effect, No Adverse Effect"

I GUESS those are side effects, if you believe my not voting for Trump was a vote for HRC.

"Open Wound"

See "Amputation of Penis", above.

"Penile Pain, Penile Size Reduced"

You know what goes here by now.

"Po2 Decreased, Po2 Increased"

Oh heck, let's just call it Po2 Change [tm].

"Refusal of Treatment By Patient, Refusal of Treatment By Relative"

My wife and I know what it did to that guy's Johnson.

"Small for Dates Baby"

Yeah, that AGAIN.

"White Blood Cell Count"

I'll probably be called a racist, but I think this is generally a good thing.

I left out A LOT, because they were either in bad taste (yeah, seriously) or redundant (e.g. "Weight Decreased, Weight Fluctuation, Weight Increased" already covered by Po2), or because I just didn't read the whole list of 1,935 conditions or actions that are not necessarily related to Risperdal (which may or may not be the worst drug on earth, I know nothing about it I'm just making fun of the list of "side effects").

His only qualification for the job is that he was a big donor for Trump's campaign. Cronyism at it's best.
That's been true of every president for as long as I can recall. The vast majority of ambassadors - even to countries that are important allies - seem to have been a reward for political or financial support. Obama appointed Steelers owner Dan Rooney ambassador to Ireland.

More on Obama's appointments:
Quote
... The nominee for ambassador to Norway, for example, prompted outrage in Oslo by characterizing one of the nation’s ruling parties as extremist. A soap- opera producer slated for Hungary appeared to have little knowledge of the country she would be living in. A prominent Obama bundler nominated to be ambassador to Argentina acknowledged that he had never set foot in the country and isn’t fluent in Spanish.

Even former senator Max Baucus (D-Mont.), the new U.S. ambassador in Beijing, managed to raise eyebrows during his confirmation hearing by acknowledging, “I’m no real expert on China.”

The stumbles have highlighted the perils of rewarding well-heeled donors and well-connected politicos with plum overseas assignments and have provided political fodder for Republicans eager to attack the White House. The cases also underscore how a president who once infuriated donors by denying them perks has now come into line with his predecessors, doling out prominent diplomatic jobs by the dozens to supporters. ...
WashPost

Looks like Pres. Trump is continuing that fine ( **nononono*) tradition.

Johnson's own kid wasn't exactly right in the head, either, and while I'm not one to pin the sins of the child on the father, there is a factor of "by their fruits you shall know them."

A Big Leap? Did you MISS the JPG?

This drug EATS BRAINS, and you're unwilling to connect the two as cause and effect?

Under-reporting of Drug Adverse Reactions - A systematic review

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16689555

94% of drug adverse reactions are never reported to Govt Regulators because there's no law requiring it.

So you can bet there are a lot more people adversely affected by this drug who never even thought to Ask their Doc if it might be related, than these numbers indicate. And if their Doctor is a Shrink he's going to Lie to them anyway rather than open himself up to an expensive Lawsuit.

Tardive Dyskinesia the 9th most Common Direct Effect of this drug.

Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome the 7th Most Common Direct Effect of this Drug

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neuroleptic_malignant_syndrome

Psychotic Disorder is the 19th most frequently reported reaction to Risperdal, out of 1,935.

For a drug which was originally FDA Approved to bash Schizophrenia, which is Defined as a Psychotic Disorder.

The Stuff CAUSES, Wholesale, what it's sold to treat.

But there's Got to be Some Good to come from Industry Professionals, the Experts on Treating 'Mental Illness' poisoning people with this stuff, Right?

The Professionals/Psychiatrists know Full GD Well exactly what they're doing.

Jets fans are rejoicing...

Why? Cause Woody's leaving?

What I'm smelling here is Woody'll be schmoozing his way into considerable influence with the U.K.s MHRA (their corrupt, worse than useless, Industry owned version of our corrupt, worse than useless, Industry owned FDA) to bring Johnson and Johnson, like a Biblical Plague down upon the unsuspecting, unfortunate Brits.

Further: RE: Woody, RWJF, JNJ, FDA, etc

Worse than useless, Industry owned version of our corrupt, worse than useless, Industry owned FDA

Suspicious Lawmakers Query FDA's Hamburg On Sudden Departure Of Deputy Commish

Another JNJ Allstar

http://www.fiercebiotech.com/regulatory/suspicious-lawmakers-query-fda-s-hamburg-on-sudden-departure-of-deputy-commish#ixzz2TOT1R32C

A revolving door inside the FDA has captured the attention of a group of Republican lawmakers in Congress. Just a few months after Leona Brenner-Gati was named Acting Deputy Commissioner for Medical Products and Tobacco to replace the outgoing Steven Spielberg, who served only a brief stint at the post, Brenner-Gati is gone as well. And the lawmakers are demanding that FDA Commissioner Margaret Hamburg detail exactly what she did there as well as the circumstances behind the sudden exit.
FDA Commissioner Margaret Hamburg

As a report from the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society noted at the time, Spielberg--a veteran academic researcher--was brought in to help address the development of regulatory science, a major initiative that was intended to bring the agency up to speed with the industry. Spielberg left abruptly and Brenner-Gati stepped into his spot. Now the lawmakers have spelled out a series of queries about Brenner-Gati, whose resignation was announced on May 3.

The Republicans are asking Hamburg to detail just what she was doing in the few months she held the title, according to a report from Reuters, noting there were no "significant" meetings on the calendar. Their letter says FDA records "raise questions about whether she was actively working in her position over the last two months, and the circumstances surrounding her resignation."

The lawmakers suspiciously note that Brenner-Gati was conspicuously absent from FDA records on its senior officials, or even the agency directory in the days before her announced departure. And they want to know about all of Brenner-Gati's "significant accomplishments" cited by Hamburg in an internal memo.

Brenner-Gati held senior positions at J&J ($JNJ) before joining the FDA last year. According to her bio at the Alliance of Regenerative Medicine, where she was a founding member, Brenner-Gati helped create BetaLogics, which was working on a stem cell therapy for diabetes. And J&J looked to her to identify new technologies that could be used in the metabolics field.

(Racketeering) Suit Alleges Former FDA Chief Suppressed Danger of 'Deadly Drug' For Sake of Profit

http://dailycaller.com/2016/04/21/suit-alleges-former-fda-chief-suppressed-danger-of-d

We're looking at as many as 5,000 victims here.

[excerpt]

Former Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Margaret A. Hamburg, her hedge-fund executive husband, and Fortune 500 giant Johnson & Johnson colluded to enrich themselves by failing to warn the public about a “deadly” antibiotic, a federal racketeering lawsuit claims.

“Once confirmed as FDA commissioner, Dr. Margaret A. Hamburg acted as the instrumentality that all defendants used to perpetrate their conspiracy and racketeering enterprise by having her act illegally and outside the scope of her authority as FDA commissioner to suppress material information to plaintiffs and the public that Levaquin was inherently dangerous and in fact, deadly,” the complaint alleges.

The suit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia Jan. 19, 2016, on behalf of five individuals who claim they suffered severe physical harm as a result of taking the antibiotic.

And we're going to turn Woody Johnson loose on our Ally the U.K. ?????????

This may come as a complete surprise to many, but this thread isn't about "big pharma," Risperdal or anything but the appointment of Woody Johnson as ambassador. Any chance we can get back on track?

A Big Leap? Did you MISS the JPG?

This drug EATS BRAINS, and you're unwilling to connect the two as cause and effect?

No, I'm not willing to connect things like "Economic Problem", "Ankle Fracture", "Victim of Crime", "Wrong Drug Administered", or "Death of Child" as being caused by the drug.  What about perhaps my favorite, "Drug Prescribing Error" -- you seriously want us to believe that's an EFFECT?

What was listed was NOT a list of "1,935 Risperdal side effects".

Define 'WE'.

Because 'I' am dead on track, 12 O'clock in the crosshairs.

Whatever ridiculous paperwork fictions their Lawyers cooked up to insure 'Degrees of Legal Separation' (and yes, I have such documents as those in my collection: attempting to protect Bribe Paying Drug Companies when they caught buying Bribe Taking Doctors, . . . JNJ, Woody Johnson, Risperdal Profits and Adverse Reactions, the FDA, are ALL joined inseparably, AT THE HIP.

Glaxo Smith Kline was so up front about it a few years back they ran a page titled 'Your Rewards Package' for Doctors.

They later toned it down to handing out Madonna Concert Tickets and Pheasant Hunting Jaunts to the Top Prescribers in their respective Business Sectors.

JNJ was looking Down The BARREL at 40 out of 50 U.S. State AG's looking to take a piece out of their Hides for defrauding their State Medicaid programs.

If Eric Holder hadn't stuck his dirty nose into it and arranged a Buyout at the Federal Level for JNJ of $2.2 Billion, 40 State AGs would have destroyed JNJ. Perhaps not the money, but the bad press would have eaten them alive by encouraging even more plaintiffs to come forward and file even more suits.

But JNJ was just TOO BIG, and TOO Well Connected/DIRTY, to fail.

For those who don't recognize him, the guy in the middle with the red tie is Alex Gorsky.

Gorsky is the current CEO of JNJ, who replaced William C. Weldon http://www.fiercepharma.com/special-report/william-weldon-johnson-johnson after Weldon got the co. into so much trouble over Risperdal that the stockholders launched a suit against him.

Gorsky was meeting with Trump in another episode of 'Let's Make A Deal'. Since the Government was JNJ's customer through Medicare/Medicaid/Tricare, paying for JNJ's drugs, Trump thought he'd try for a better price.

https://www.fool.com/investing/2017/01/24/how-will-johnson-johnson-fare-under-president-trum.aspx

What Trump SHOULD have done was put Gorsky in the custody of Federal Marshals, but again, Some companies are just too big to fail.

http://psychroaches.blogspot.com/2012/09/deposed-prolactin-gynecomastia-gorksy.html

Alex Gorsky was the guy in Charge of Janssen: the JNJ division that made and marketed Risperdal, to children.

Class act, aren't they.

And Bill Weldon? He changed his baseball cap from one that read CEO to Chairman of the Board of Directors, and pocketed $197 Million in Stockholder money for walking across the hall.

And while we're at it, Mountaineer, You tell me what former JNJer Brenner Gatti was doing as a Deputy Commish at the FDA, with the Keys to all the Filing Cabinets, as the perfect Legal Storm was brewing State by State against JNJ?

Once you're familiar with the turf/target, . . .

Testimony at trial indicated that the profit margin for sales of Risperdal was 97% or $28.90 Billion for the period of 1994-2010"

Did they take into account all the drugs that didn't work to market?

"Economic Problem", "Ankle Fracture", "Victim of Crime", "Wrong Drug Administered", or "Death of Child" as being caused by the drug.  What about perhaps my favorite, "Drug Prescribing Error"

Psychotic Disorder is Number 19 in frequency.

Troubles holding your job with Psychotic Disorder? Valid Call.

Ankle Fracture

This is a psychotropic drug. It upsets the consumer's perceptual and emotional states, WITHOUT the attending euphoria from a street/recreational drug.

So the consumer doesn't realize their perceptual/emotional abilities are compromised.

Step off a curb wrong. Step down a flight of stairs, drunk on this drug without knowing it. Can't judge the distance or your own balance correctly, in a Psychotic Disorder.

Read the link to Tardive Dyskinesia.

Tardive Dyskinesia is permanent CNS damage impairing muscular functioning. Legs or balance don't work right anymore?

Fracture an ankle. Valid Call.

Victim of crime.

Judgment impaired. Walk into the wrong people/situation at the wrong time. Get Mugged.

Valid Call.

Wrong Drug Administered.

Complain to a Doctor, in a Psychotic Disorder.

Doc makes diagnosis based on what he hears and observes from a Psychotic Disorder. Prescribes FROM A PAINT BY THE NUMBERS MEDICATION MENU the wrong drug for what's actually ailing the consumer.

Valid call.

Death of Child

'Mental Health' Comes With FREE Sudden Death

http://psychroaches.blogspot.com/2009/05/mental-health-comes-with-free-sudden.html

Or the impairment of the adult under the influence causes the child's death. Leave a kid in a hot car?

Valid call.

Drug Prescribing Error.

See Wrong Drug Administered. Same reason.

Valid call.

We could go through this whole list one by one but it'd just waste a lot of time.

The takeaway is that these were officially reported to FDA, accepted by, recorded by and retrieved from FDA, which grants this list legitimate standing as admissible evidence in a Court of Law.

Disagree with it all you want. But it is admissible evidentiary FACT before the Law.

You didn't find this listed 'side effect' amusing.

Homicide

That, at Law, is attempted murder, of parties not specified or unknown and unknowable to either the Doctor or the Patient they've lied this drug into.

You try lining your pockets knowingly selling attempted or completed murder and see how fast it gets you nominated as a potential U.S. Ambassador to another country.

Almost as if people take psychotropic medications when they already have a psychiatric disorder.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at your question.

Watch the 2nd vid in my reply at #10. It's only 1 and a half minutes long.

The tax payers already got hosed for at least $25 Billion on this 1 JNJ drug alone.

It REDUCES recovery rates from 80% to 5%.

And you're concerned with drug makers recouping their R&D costs - FROM the TAXPAYERS - on drugs that Don't Work?

This is Sales Rep Bling handed out to Doctors to make them feel obligated to return the favor. Small stuff. Real cheap. It works great.

Read the package labeling. 2nd line.

Contains No Active Drug.

The Docs selling the stuff for their Rep need to be reassured that they themselves are not ingesting the drug.

That's the level of paranoia pervading this whole Industry.

Paranoia, BTW, is a Shrink Diagnosable, Insurer Billable Mental Disorder/Illness, treatable by prescribing the paranoid Doctor this very drug they need to be told is not in their popcorn.

Wouldn't we all feel better knowing that Doctors were truly 'Mentally Healthy' because they've had their pharmaceutical tune up too, …. The same one the patient is expected, defrauded, browbeaten, or forced to swallow?

Doctors know full well what this stuff is, and they will not knowingly, willingly swallow a dose of 'Mental Health' themselves.

That is fraud and criminal battery.

RE: My reply #18

The US Govt has the power, as the prime customer, to renegotiate prices downward with a vendor.

While I have no internal emails from any of the parties involved here - which are all interconnected parts of 1 big Hydra - my Opinion is that sending Woody Johnson to the U.K. as our Ambassador is what Trump is offering the Hydra in return for lowering the prices of their products to the U.S. Govt.

Woody's mission - with his money and position here already, why else would he want the job? - he (Woody) is going to be greasing the skids for JNJ's further and Deeper penetration into the U.K. market, . . . where JNJ will be wallowing heels over head in the same kind of extra legal shennanigans I've directed readers to already in this post.

Put the pieces together and connect the dots.

IF I were a loyal Englishman I would view this appointment not as an insult from America, not as a Declaration from America, but as an overt Act of War from America.

And it SHOULD go without saying that I'd advise everyone here to call and write your Congressmen and Senators to tell them to unequivocally OPPOSE this nomination.
