Oliver Stone on His Son Working For RT: He’s Not a ‘Russian Agent or Something Like That’

Filmmaker Oliver Stone has come under fire for his series of interviews with Russian President Vladimir Putin, with critics feeling like he was too soft and sympathetic during his conversations with the leader. Last week, he and Stephen Colbert got into it over the subject as Colbert voiced concern that Stone allowed himself to be propagandized by Putin.

In the wake of the interview series, some have noticed that the JFK director’s son, Sean Stone, hosts a Watching the Hawks, a show on RT. RT — formerly known as Russia Today — is an English-language news network that is funded by the Russian government and widely viewed as a propaganda outlet for the Kremlin.
