A NEIGHBOUR said yesterday he saw mosque terror su­s­pect Darren Osborne sleeping in a hire van 24 hours before the attack.

Edward Gardiner, who lives on Osborne’s estate, said he alerted police on Sunday after finding the 47-year-old smelling “strongly of alcohol”.

Osborne had been kicked out of a pub where locals accused him of boozy anti-Muslim rants.

Police checked the van report, but ruled no offence had been committed.
