US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson appeared to voice opposition to designating the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organisation, saying that such a classification would complicate Washington’s relations in the Middle East.

Tillerson’s comments come months after he lumped the Brotherhood with al-Qaeda during his confirmation hearing when talking about militant threats in the region.

Republican lawmakers have led calls for blacklisting the organisation, while reports indicated that President Donald Trump was seriously considering the move during the early days of his presidency.

It hasn't "complicated" diplomacy for the nations who have declared the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organisation. Of course, those countries don't have Muslim Brotherhood members and operatives in their own power structure ....

Well, Rex, this ain't beanbag. If you can negotiate production deals with foreign countries, exploration rights, and the like, surely this isn't beyond your ability to handle.

First the Republicans tell us we cannot repeal Obamacare.

No we are told we cannot call the Muslim Brotherhood what they are.

I guess the $64,000.00 question is ....

How many State Department 'associates' have direct or indirect ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, and how many people currently entrenched in the US Government bureaucracy do also?

then, for a quick follow-up Double or nothing:

 How many people in the last Administration were affiliated with, associated with, or outright members of the Muslim Brotherhood or closely affiliated parties or organizations?

The contamination runs deep, and it runs high as well. I think the answers would shock most folks.
