A teacher who was suspended from her job earlier this year for posting ‘provocative and sultry’ selfies on Facebook has quit.

Lydia Ferguson, 39, said she had fought for two months to keep her job but explained: “I just don’t want the stress of it any more.”

The divorced mother of three was escorted off the premises of Ousedale School in Buckinghamshire, England, in March after the photos were found on social media.

In one, she is seen sitting on the edge of a bed wearing high heels and a short white playsuit (main image). In others, like that above, she is wearing low-cut tops. Her Facebook page was open, leaving anyone free to view the pictures.

Some of the co-educational school’s 2,000 pupils launched a petition called “Get Miss Ferguson Back” after she was removed. They praised her as “brilliant”.

But the support teacher, who looked after children with behavioral problems, said this week: “I couldn’t go back. My family’s been through enough of it.”

The school also confirmed: “Lydia Ferguson is no longer employed.”

I suspect this was triggered by some jealous, not attractive co-worker.
Nothing is wrong with those pictures.  They appear to be typical evening wear for a club. If this were the standard and my wife were still teaching, she would be fired too.

Nothing wrong with the picture I see here.   Just proves the point not much good happens on social media   I belong to FB just to keep up with distant family but rarely post anything of my own.

I can understand why this picture would be seen as inappropriate.  If it were taken at a different angle or just standing in front of the mirror I think it would be fine.  The view up-skirt is a bit much and I think an inappropriate light for young students to see their teacher in.  She could have made her account private so that only friends could see her pics also.

Not a skirt. Those are shorts (looks like one of those dresses that have shorts as bottoms versus a skirt). Here is another image of her in the same outfit.


I would bet that covers more than the school's tennis team outfits.

And if that were the only pic of the outfit posted then I don't think anyone would find it inappropriate, but the pic of her sitting on the bed does show a lot of thigh and looks like an up-skirt photo.
