L.A. Mayor Worries Trump Immigration Crackdown Will Incite Riots: ‘I Fear a Tinderbox Out There’

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti fears that President Donald Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration may cause Los Angeles to erupt in riots.

On Friday’s NPR’s “Latino USA” podcast, Garcetti said it is dangerous when “ICE [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] calls themselves police,” adding that “it’s bad for ICE and it’s bad for LAPD” because “people open that door expecting to see LAPD.” He said “if something goes wrong” when ICE agents try to deport illegal immigrants, “I fear a tinderbox out there, where people will suddenly say no and try to defend… keep that person from being taken. That’s a very dangerous situation.”

Golly, when you actively undermine Federal law to protect illegals, use taxpayer money to offer aid and succor to illegals what do you expect when the law is enforced? Aside from maybe Richard Reardon, the mayors of LA have been at best inept and more often corrupt since 1961. They went from a LaRaza alumni in Tony Villa to a LaRaza wannabe in Garcetti. I wonder how long the Blacks will let the democrats screw them over in their pandering to the Hispanics? Maybe a long time, much as the Blacks bitch about it, seems to me that a great many of them must actually like having a master that abuses them. (I think maybe I dood it with that one )

I agree. It is a sad day when public officials are more worried about the backlash from enforcing the law than refusing to.
