  If he is married, I wonder if he has attacked his wife because he physically attacked just because there was a mike near his face.

Come on Frank that was uncalled for...

The right is trending toward dictatorship in the US.

That won't end well. Because it starts with us saying "assaulting the media is good", then a guy like Duterte gets in power. Then it's all over.

Let's not pretend that liberals are the only threat to liberty in the US.

Can someone explain to me why there are 2 reporters from a Leftist British paper covering some shit election in MT?
Actually, Frank, I was wondering the same thing. Maybe they wanted to go see Yellowstone and found a way to work it into the expense account. It isn't like nothing is happening across the pond.

@CatherineofAragon

You are exactly right.  I have watched the film of that with the candidate yelling out of control.  If he is married, I wonder if he has attacked his wife because he physically attacked just because there was a mike near his face.  He is being charged for that physical attack.

@Victoria33

I don't know how this guy could be considered an asset to the GOP.

It's not.

This guy is getting charged with misdemeanor assault. We can also talk of a potential lawsuit too.

I agree, this can't end well.

About the only consolation is that I think a lot of keyboard warriors talk big and bad over the internet, wouldn't have the balls to do it online.

But... there are an awful lot of people on both sides talking like this. And the violence is spilling over into real life, little by little (check out the running battles in Berkeley).

This candidate was ahead in the polls, so he will likely win today.  Someone made fun of my saying I wonder if he has attacked his wife if he is married.  The anger in this man was set off quickly and he physically attacked the reporter.  That tells me this is what he does when he loses his temper.  How many more has he done this to?   I would bet more is going to come out about other times he has attacked others.

All the candidate has to do is to say "I have asked you to conduct yourselves in an orderly fashion so I could answer your questions. Either do so or this interview is over.", and if they don't, shut it down.

Agree.  There is just a part of me that likes seeing some fight back at MSM.

Cause folks the tandem of the left and MSM are beating us in this war right now.

The right is trending toward dictatorship in the US.

In other words, the right is trending leftward.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

-Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

Seems there's enough evidence for the charge, so I guess we can forget about it being a hoax.

Well that's just nonsense.   A person can just claim they were assaulted and that is enough evidence for a charge.

He can say "Look,  my glasses are broke!  That proves I was assaulted!"   and that can be your "evidence."

I will wait till I get more information to decide what I think about this incident.    It doesn't ring true.   I want to hear the other side.

@DiogenesLamp

The thing is, there's a tape and two witnesses, so it's more than just a "claim."

That's a good bit of information for you to investigate, don't you think?

There were witnesses.  He did it in public.   The reporter went up to him stuck a mic in his face and asked some tough questions.    He was then assaulted as the GOP guy said how much he didnt like reporters.

"The dark night of fascism is always descending in the United States and yet lands only in Europe.   "

I don't think you know who the "right"  are,  at least not the "right"  in the United States.   The European "Right"  is actually the left,   but they have been deliberately mislabeled since Hitler made socialism look uglier than they could stand.

When the "right"  has control of the trillion dollar broadcasting infrastructure,   let me know.   Till then,  i'm not much worried about it.
