Overweight Boys Face Higher Colon Cancer Risk as Adults

FRIDAY, May 19, 2017 -- Overweight boys may be more likely to develop colon cancer later in life, but losing weight might lower that risk, Danish researchers say.

Although earlier studies have suggested that overweight children run a higher risk of being diagnosed with colon cancer as adults, it had been less clear what effect weight loss might have on this risk.

A lady I play tennis with has colon cancer and is in her 50's.  She was supposed to be dead by this past Christmas, but amazingly is surviving, by taking chemo every other week.  She even played in a tennis tourney this past weekend.  Odds are she won't make it another year though.  Colon cancer is a horrible horrible thing.........
