@Jarhead

Stop with that.  I was a Cruz supporter; he was the first and only politician who ever got my money.  I still support him.  But when he dropped out of the race, I was over it later that same day.  None of us are still in the primaries, except for those making emotion-based "Nyah, you lost' accusations.

I think you have a funny idea of what "fight" means.  Trolling on Twitter isn't fighting.  It's being man enough to stop your damn whining, get your administration and yourself under control, and get to work on the important issues you ran on.

I don't agree with everything he does on Twitter HOWEVER I will say he is hitting an aspect of social media MANY (not me I can't stand it) use to communicate directly to the people about the corrupt media and they aren't liking it one bit! They are frothing at the mouth over it. I live that he has done this because it exposes them for what they are. Whereas before some hid it well now have been uncovered for all to see.

Truth.  A difference of opinion does not make a person liberal.

Taking the liberal side of every argument, well, then....

I think I'm a mainstream, pragmatic conservative on most issues,  but have never hidden that I tend to be moderate/libertarian on social issues.  Yeah, I oppose arbitrary discrimination and support the equal protection of the law - although I don't understand why "conservatives" are supposed to think differently.  I support the separation of church and state - but so did Thomas Jefferson.   And I'm continually being mischaracterized on the abortion issue - I oppose abortion, but prefer the matter be addressed by persuasion rather than coercion.   That's because not only is the former approach Constitutional,  it's also more likely to be effective.

"He demanded freedom of expression and lived in what we consider the most important and moral of freedoms: freedom from hate, unconditionally; freedom from self-pity (even throughout all the pain and bad news); freedom from fear of possibly doing something that might help another more than it might himself; and freedom from the kind of pride that could make a man feel he was better than his brother or neighbor."

@Jarhead

I suspect your definition of fake news is rather narrow and excludes all but a few fan sites.  I prefer not to exist in a self-protective bubble.

Again, we have the right to free speech in this country, and the president can be criticized at will.  Don't like it?  Too bad.  No one is under obligation to like any politician, and not doing so certainly does not make them a liberal.  Emotionalism won't get you far.

As I've said, you would do better to stop enabling Trump's behavior by blaming everybody in the world except him for his problems.

No it isn't narrow whatsoever. I see the much bigger picture at play. I listen to Levin three hours everyday. He is by FAR not a Trump cheerleader and rightly so expresses his frustrations and displeasure with a number of his policies. I have no issues with that at all because the way he does it isn't subversive or in support of tossing him out. It isn't personal. He also spends a great deal of time praising him when he is pushing policies that are conservative. Now a "Trumper" as you'd call it would be all hell bent out of shape listening to Levin. Not me, I find the man brilliant, and truly one of the smartest on constitutional subjects.  With respect to what is taking place today. Levin uncovered the initial instances of illegality and kicked off the firestorm of illegal leaks. He stands behind Trump on this attempted coup (his words) while at the same time supporting him and critical of some of his policies.

What happens here is far different

You simply just have to look up Cruz and H1B and find your answer. That is well known. Just because we don't like it doesn't make it true

No, it's bullcrap.
He offered to dramatically increase H1B's providing they were paid the going American rate.
Of course, no one took him up on it, because it was an obvious poke at members' true reasons for promoting H1Bs.
It cut right to the core of the thing, as members were not whining for more H1B's for 'the poor foreign born', as they seemed to be - they were influenced by business lobbies.

It was cynically delivered precisely to show they didn't give a damn about the foreign worker.

And I don't see how you would be offended even if it was true, in the fashion that you transmit... Because if H1B's provided the American rate of pay, no one would use them anymore. The whole reason H1B's are anti-American-worker is in the importation of cheap foreign labor.

So yeah. BULLCRAP.

The position that you state is true....however that was a position taken that was a CHANGED POSITION that I feel was politically calculated to go with the times. In his OWN WORDS he stated he changed his own view so no it is NOT bull crap. Again that is neither here nor there. I supported him then, support him now and also support our president. I don't agree with things Cruz has done or said and I don't agree with things our President has done or said.  These are based on stances and policy decisions and NOT the person.

"Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) in an interview with CNN Wednesday admitted his position on H1B immigration visas has changed, but denied that the shift was politically motivated.

“Any rational person responds to a change in circumstances. What’s changed? We’ve seen a whole number of employers abusing the program,” Cruz, a frontrunner in the 2016 race, told CNN. “No. 1, bringing in people who are not high-skilled, bringing in medium- and low-skilled (information technology) workers and then firing American workers and, adding insult to injury, forcing the American workers to train their foreign replacements.”

"Cruz’s record on immigration came under scrutiny on the campaign trail after 2016 rival Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) — who has long been considered vulnerable on the issue for his involvement in the the failed immigration overhaul bill — suggested he and Cruz were not so different in their positions. Rubio pointed to Cruz’s past support of increased legal immigration and accused Cruz of previously supporting legal status for undocumented immigrants, a claim Cruz has vehemently denied.

As the tussle between the two heated up, Cruz released an immigration platform that placed new restrictions on legal immigration, including a suspension of the H1B visa program — which Cruz at one time favored expanding."

Yes, it is bullcrap. I was paying keen attention during the Gang of 8 Immigration battles.
Ted Cruz was a shiny new thing for me, at the time - And he was four-square perfect as a Conservative - Brilliantly so.
So when his H1B rider happened, I was terribly offended.
So not only was I really paying attention, but I was mortally pissed off too.
So I followed the whole thing in real time.
I soon found out that everyone from the OTHER side were pissed at Cruz for it, and the stalwarts that I rely upon were happy for it.
The Dems commenting at the time called it a poison pill
The press commenting on it at the time called it a poison pill.
The RINOs at the time called it a poison pill.

It is the first time I witnessed Cruz jackin' them up, And seeing it was a great relief, once it became clear to me what was going on. so it is ready in my recollection.

So I would say his later comments on the campaign trail were damage control.
I think his record was getting stretched out of shape, and the hammering of the press and Rubio elicited an acceptance and regrouping - simply because the uninformed would not readily understand the explanation, nor check the record.

That's how I see it.

I admire you for trying but you are wasting your time.  Some of these people came from the Ministry of Disinformation.  Some are genuinely good people that have been had.  Some can't stand not getting their way and have dug in their heels no matter the cost.  And some because they'd rather argue with someone that will argue back as their fencepost at home doesn't always respond to them depending upon whether their meds worked that day or not.

We're all one big, happy family in spite of it all.  :)
