If Liberals Hate Him, Then Trump Must Be Doing Something Right

If there was one principle that used to unite conservatives, it was respect for the rule of law. Not long ago, conservatives would have been horrified at wholesale violations of the norms and traditions of our political system, and would have been appalled by a president who showed overt contempt for the separation of powers.

So, to the NY Slimes, norms and traditions are far more important than getting back to the principles of the Constitution.  People don't like war, either, but sometimes our way of living comes  under attack and something has to be done about it to get back to where we want to be.  Sometimes that means skirting the norms and traditions of life to preserve peace.

He signed the budget that gave them just about everything they wanted and he will keep things like ethanol subsidies. They hate him because there is an R next to his name.
