What? Another Hate Crime Turns Out To Be A Hoax?

At this point you’d think that cops would just assume all reported hate crimes are complete bullshit considering that almost all of them are. The latest non-shocking news is that a threatening note with racial slurs left on a college student’s car was a self-inflicted act of hatred. Don’t worry, there will be no repercussions for perpetrating this hoax, the “victim” has suffered enough already.

The big news out of St. Olaf College in Minnesota a couple of weeks ago was the sudden outbreak of racism. Black student Samantha Wells reported that someone had left a very racist and threatening note on her car.

The farce at St. Olaf

No sooner did we take a look at the alleged racial incidents at St. Olaf and the related rituals than the latest such incident — the one that gave rise to all the action — was revealed as another hate crime hoax committed by the black student in the middle of the matter. The college continues to investigate similar reported incidents that have occurred on campus since last fall.
