So you think modernity just started happening?
And the reason they are equal with abortion is the abortion rate falling.
Well aren't we just great.
Sure, I believe there are many things in modern living causing problems. I believe that we haven't fully investigated the synergistic effects of contaminants -- risk calculations are done on a per-contaminant basis. There are contaminants of emerging concern that we don't fully understand. There are physical things that cause chemical changes within us. Emotional stresses that hurt our bodies. Etc.
Meanwhile, people who live in the dirt and handle things that would make you squirm, are healthier than you are - without any navel gazing or scientific proclamations whatsoever.
But the fact is, if you believe souls are imparted at conception, God has killed a great number of babies before they were born. If a person did that, we'd call him a murderer.
That assumes the breath of life belongs to the created. It does not. It is HIS breath, it is HIS body, not yours. It is his to give, and to take away, and often the reasons confound us.
And it also assumes there is nothing more than the here and now. I do not know what happens to those souls not given a fair chance, by whatever means. But we know that what we are in this life is a seed. What we become by the bloom is beyond our ken. One has little idea as to the assignment of souls hereafter.
These are legitimate concerns and questions...no government should criminalize exploring them and asking them.
No they are not. They are absurd.
