Former NASCAR and IndyCar driver John Andretti, who is battling Stage 4 colon cancer, stated Tuesday on Twitter that he has been “overwhelmed and humbled by everyone that has reached out to me by phone, text, social media or otherwise to send their prayers, well wishes and offer support.”

WTHR in Indianapolis reported Andretti’s condition earlier this week. The report states that the 54-year-old Andretti was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer after a colonoscopy in January. He had surgery to remove 12-14 inches of his colon. Doctors later discovered the cancer had spread to his liver.

It doesn't sound good but he seems positive. I met him some years ago at a small event at MIS and found him to be a really nice guy.
