Trump surge fades for military contractors

Expectations are falling for Boeing, Northrop Grumman and other top U.S. defense contractors that had hoped the Trump presidency would lead to a boom for business.

Many of the firms have seen their stock prices rise in the first 100 days of President Trump’s administration.

But the uptick in stock prices appears to have more to do with the anticipation of higher profits than with gains driven by the new administration.
