So what they are really saying is that he get three hots and a cot for a few years before returning to the war. He'll probably live better in prison than if he were deported back to his own country. What a stupid bunch of people we Westerners are.

Does anyone really think that if people in his country of origin caught some Westerner who had done something similar that they would be given a four year sentence in a comfortable prison where he would be well fed and receive excellent medical/dental care for free, then released after his sentence as if nothing had happened? Please.

If there were justice in the world he would be executed albeit humanely.
