…the small landlord who rented out the main floor of his Brampton home to an Arab Muslim couple must pay them $12,000 for failing to accommodate their religious practices when showing their apartment to prospective tenants.

The Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario also found that he “harassed them and created a poisoned housing environment.”

Moral of the story.... if you create a political environment that rivals the worst sanitarium/mental institution (ie leftism).... don't bitch when people start acting like mental patients.  Catering to these "sue-happy" loons will only make that environment more insane.

Anyone who remembers the Canadian sister site to FR should recall who shut them down. Free Dominion was a victim of a Canadian The Human Rights Tribunal, iirc. It is PC gone round the bend.

Since 1978 the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal had a 100% conviction rate for cases brought before the Canadian Human Rights Commission (CHRC) under Section 13 of the Canadian Human Rights Act. This perfect conviction rate is hardly a surprise given that Tribunals rule that

“Truth” is no defence against prosecution
Speaking “Truth” is actually used as “proof” of your guilt and then as rationale for increased fines
Your “Intent” is no defense.
“Fair Comment” is no defense.
In fact, there is not a single legal defense allowed under Section 13!  Makes it pretty darned easy to convict a person since they are not “permitted” to mount any defense at all.  The mere fact the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal prosecuted them is deemed “evidence” of their guilt.

I remember it and posted on it.  I know of a couple other "foreign" forums that disappeared due to rampant PC when righties started posting there.   The left simply cannot tolerate or handle opposing views being presented.
