Marines with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force learned 3-D printing techniques and received training with compatible software in a two-day training course, according to the Marine Corps.

Marines with General Support Maintenance Company, 2nd Maintenance Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 25, 2nd Marine Logistics Group led the training at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, from April 19-20. The technology allows forward-deployed units to repair broken parts by simply printing new ones rather than having to wait for multiple days for replacement parts.
