Melania Trump never wanted to be a president’s wife and the White House’s East Wing – where first ladies and their handlers have traditionally worked – is a virtual ghost town, according to a published report.

Trump insiders told Vanity Fair that Melania Trump feels terribly uncomfortable with the spotlight that comes from being married to the world’s most powerful man – and is doing everything she can to stay off stage.

Maybe she doesn't like being called a "whore" constantly by her husband's detractors?  That sort of thing gets old rather quickly.

Didn't want the job/position/responsiblity/call it whatever doesn't mean she won't do the job. Nor does it mean she'll half ass it - she's got a hell of a work ethic.

As for not wanting it - don't blame her. Who would?
