Can't stand the woman's politics but kudos on her weight loss. What a change.  If she didn't have those nasty tat's she would even be a notch higher. Friend on FB lost 110 lbs and he went from ugly in the face to really good looking, can't tell it's the same guy

The biggest difference in her physical appearance is due to whoever did her make up and the photographer but you're quite correct about the truly ugly part of her.

75% of a woman's appearance is her attitude and demeanor. I've known thicker women than her who were beautiful because they were genuinely beautiful women. I've known thinner women than her who looked just as unattractive as she does all due to their attitude.

Dunham is nasty on the outside because she is nasty on the inside. Puking up a few meals isn't going to change that.

I did a photo-shoot for a young lady a month or so ago, who was quite larger than Dunham, but she was a complete doll because she had an infectious positive and happy personality. Her happiness effected her entire look, plus she took care of herself well even though she was large. Good posture, warm glow, someone you just want to be around.

Another person I work with has model looks. Tall, slim, strawberry blonde hair, completely in shape, but she has a very dark personality and unfortunately it comes across in her looks. Closed, moody, poor posture, you have to force a smile out of her. You just want the shoot to be over with.

Except that she does not shave her legs or sometimes her armpits, nor use underarm deodorant (for "health reasons" supposedly). That is by admission of those who personally know her.
Beauty is only skin deep, but ugly goes all the way to the bone.

WHAT??? Absolutely no way. Eighty-pounds is morbid obesity and it is at least two, three or more times the amount in the before/after photo. I don't think she was ever 80 lbs. overweight (from the few photos I recall seeing of her, some of which I have tried to forget - shiver).

Although much of the fat in her body was doubtless concentrated inside her cranium, so maybe she DID lose 80 lbs of ugly fat after all if any significant amount of THAT was removed. Judging by her behavior, I'd have to say that is extremely unlikely. She still seems to be grotesquely out-of-her-mind. heh

You could be right and not to quibble, but I lived with a woman who lost 80 lbs. and it was VERY obviously a world of difference from the two photos of Dunham. The comparison photo immediately above may be a little misleading - because of four things:

1) The distance to the camera is significantly different in the two shots. She is visibly closer to the camera in the "after" pic making her look comparatively smaller in the "before" pic than she actually was.

2) There is no metric next to either photo (to enable an accurate eye measurement) No numerical tape measurements, which is often the only way to really perceive the difference clearly.

3) Her legs are mostly not visible in the "before" picture, where a significant percentage of weight is usually found on people who are very overweight (thighs mostly).

4) The pictures are profile only ( just as Dunham's are from the front), which conceals a lot of weight for many people because it deemphasizes the stomach/hips/thighs to the eye.

I've lost 76 lbs since August,  two dress sizes that's it. Believe me, you can't really see it unless I step on a scale or something

Good for you. Congrats. I"m at the heaviest I ever weighed. 263 this morning on a 6-2 frame. Want to get to around 195-200. Started 3 different times since beginning of year.s something always come up as a sabotage last time was a 7 day vacation
