I think this is one of the best comparisons I've seen done.  It starts with the Tunguska-event meteor...

Another good one starting with the size of our moon.

I believe a star larger than VY Canis Majoris has been discovered.

I don't feel insignificant.

You may find it interesting that the average size of human beings is almost exactly in the middle between the largest objects in the universe (giant galaxies) and the smallest (quarks/neutrinos).

Also the proportionality in the video would also probably make a good graphic representation of the relative energy contributed to the physical geographical systems which mediate global temperature of Terra's atmosphere. Athropogenic trace gas emissions etc) would be the smallest objects and the largest would be nature (solar radiant variance, natural-trace gas emissions, cosmic ray effects, orbital/rotational variance, H20 distribution variance).

To believe that the comparatively minuscule amount of energy that humanity contributes to the total energy is capable of changing the prevailing dynamics of the physical systems which mediate warming / cooling of the planetary atmosphere is to believe that a spit-wad can derail a freight train.
