Good News for Subie Fans.... A Three-Row SUV.

The Subaru Ascent Concept.

Subaru has yet to announce when it will unveil the production Ascent, but we shouldn’t have to wait long, as the carmaker says its three-row crossover will go on sale sometime in 2018.

I don't need one of these, but I'd guess that here in Colorado they'll grab a huge slice of the market share, especially if their relative prices are similarly low as compared to the competition.  Subarus are great cars.

Subaru: The New Volvo. When I see a Subaru on the road I have one foot hovering over the brake.

Never ever use the word "Subie" again.  :chairbang:

The ones I always saw back in the day were driven by lesbians with golden retrievers.  We called them Lesbaru's.

Yep the Outback would be plenty good for me.  But their is a market for them.  I's rather see my grand kids in one rather than the but ugly gas hog Tahoe they tool around in now.

Is that why there was a class action lawsuit because they hid the fact their new motors burned a hell of a lot of oil? I also believe there was another lawsuit over coated head gaskets that would disintegrate......and then there are the transmission issues.

Right. Driving a car that burns 2 quarts of oil every 3K miles is way more environmentally friendly than a bullet proof small block Chevy.

Old news.

So Subaru fixed the problem instead of just extending warranties and handing out some cash?

Whatever.  I know a lot of people who have Subarus, and I've never met one who has had a lemon.  I know they exist, just like with any car brand, but based on my limited sample -- and the overwhelming popularity of them in my part of the country -- I'd say that such issues aren't really much in play these days.

Boxers used in Ferraris, Porsche, Subarus, Volkwagens and Corvairs. Good company.

Mrs. Liberty's Explorer has three rows.  Meh.

If ever there was anybody that feature is wasted on, it's this old couple.

We had a 3rd row SUV but never used those seats.

OTOH, if you have more than one kid, that third row is magic for long road trips such as we often did.

Having had kids, I can relate to that.
