WASHINGTON — When it released seven men as part of a prisoner swap with Iran, the Obama Administration hid the fact that some were accused by Obama’s own Justice Department of posing threats to national security, according to a report Monday.
Three allegedly were part of an illegal procurement network supplying Iran with U.S.-made microelectronics that can be used in surface-to-air cruise missiles, Politico reported. One was serving an eight-year sentence for conspiring to supply Iran with satellite technology and hardware.
