The Outrages of Sharia
By Eileen F. Toplansky
As sharia continues to make inroads in America and Europe, we should take heed of Ralph Waldo Emerson who once wrote:

"[w]e began well.  No inquisition here. No kings, no nobles. No dominant church here, heresy has lost its terror."

If only that founding reality of the American experience were understood by those who foolishly claim tolerance and acceptance for sharia law in this country -- sadly, it is not.

Want to prevent sharia from gaining a foothold here?

Then change this:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

to this:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. The followers of muhammed are specifically excluded and denied the protections of this amendment along with any and all other Constitutional protections. Neither the United States nor the Several States will offer such protections or liberties to the followers of muhammed."

Otherwise, "sharia" will have the same Constitutional protections as does any other religious practice. And its tentacles will increasingly grasp outward.
