A secret of 'white flight' is that many people as much fled their own white ethnic ghettos as anything else. Why wouldn't black people do the same?

Ah.  But, if you read the article, the author isn't saying anything like that.  And, Hitler was German speaking to Germans as one of them.

I consider myself to have the attitude of a white southerner of the early 1950's.

Some may not like that attitude. Including some in this forum.

But like the old song goes:
