Podesta is an unusually nasty piece of work and the Daily Caller can make a lot of hay with this story if they decide to milk it for all it's worth.
Let's back up a bit. Podesta fell for a phishing scam on his computer and opened an email he shouldn't have, which caused a virus to be installed. That virus hacked into all his email files which just happened to contain sensitive State Dept. information. Guess who at the State Dept. sent Podesta the secure information he shouldn't be possessing?
We've got lot's of laws being broken here. Hillary already got a get out of jail free card from Comey since he stated she never "intended" to break the law. Podesta, on the other hand, was breaking the law by being in possession of State Dept. secrets. He could be facing time in the Big House.
The plot thickens with the cover up. The entire Russian Hacking scandal was cooked up as a diversion to draw attention away from the Podesta/Clinton/Russian connection. A diversion right out of the Clinton playbook we've seen so many times before. Get the media to look everywhere but where they should be looking. And if they ever get around to taking a hard look at John Podesta they'll find plenty of evidence to his and the Clinton's Russian connections.
Pandora's box doesn't even have to be pried open. It's already wide open and just sitting there for some outfit like the Daily Caller to snatch up and run with. CNN has already done their part in whipping up a Red Scare among the peeps. If it were me I'd capitalize on that Red Scare and toss a little red meat on the BBQ and push the whole damn thing to the hilt.
Before you know it you've got a full blown scandal that includes more tentacles than an octopus. Yellow Cake, Valerie Plame, uranium sales, millions to the Clintons, dead Russians, dead Americans, vigilante bureaucrats, and best of all a fall guy named John Podesta. Being an extremely unlikable human being from any viewpoint it all sets up to be better than a three act play. With a little bit of luck a Deep Throat type character will emerge from the woodwork somewhere down the line.
And I'd damned sure drag CNN into the entire quagmire for aiding and abetting.
