Panel: Services Should Better Leverage Each Other’s Tech Development, Joint Operations

The Pentagon should aim for interdependency, not just interoperability, in assessing its future warfighting requirements, three national security experts told the Senate Armed Services Air/Land subcommittee this week.
Retired Air Force Lt. Gen. David Deptula said the services need to embrace new joint functions, be able to rapidly capitalize on information systems in every domain, and develop new concepts of operations.
