South Africa was supposed to be a powerful example to the world of how a country could move past racial divisions and become a “rainbow nation.”

But with Nelson Mandela long dead and a worsening economy, it looks more likely South Africa is on the way to becoming another Zimbabwe.

One author says it’s time for the United States to start admitting white South Africans as refugees to the United States – before things escalate to genocide.

International journalist Alex Newman, a onetime resident of South Africa and the author of “Crimes of the Educators,” says South Africa has reached a critical turning point in recent weeks.

I find it hard to believe that any white South African can look around that country, see the changes since the end of apartheid, and not know what's coming in the future.

A good book on the subject:
"Into the Cannibal's Pot", by Ilana Mercer. She originally was anti-apartheid, but later came to see the reality of the situation there.

How many white people do you know who are allowed by those blacks of African Heritage here who get to call themselves "African-American", whether they were born in Kinshasa or Nairobi or Capetown?

The farmers are fleeing the Black Socialism of the ANC--and the murderous lot that has sprung up since Mandella. Accounts remind me of reading about Rhodesia in SOF, which I have been told at the time was probably the most accurate view of foreign news from conflict zones on the newsstand (running about 50%, as opposed to the NYT, at 0.5 to 1%, maybe 2% on a good day).
