Bizarre video but a solid cover you wouldn't expect from Black Label society.

No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.

Wu Tang weirdo Ol’ Dirty Bastard took Phil Collins’ “Sussudio” and flipped it on its head, keeping the chorus in tact but turning the track into a more straightforward ’90s R&B song for him to rap about

A personal favorite. The Animals version was at the top of the billboard charts when I was born.

Feb. 3, 1965 Shindig live teen music show, Lost Angeles. Leon Russell piano/vocals, Glenn Campbell on banjo

At that time, Leon and Glenn were prominent members of the "Wrecking Crew," as studio musicians for top people like Sinatra, Byrds, Beach Boys and many others.

Wish I could find a decent recording of this particular version of Lay Lady Lay. (Another deeply embedded tune from my childhood)

Crappy recording but this particular version is distinctive and best.

I can't remember if I included this one in past threads, but... it's one of my favorites, so here it goes again.

"The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over. -Alexander Solzhenitsyn

I've said before, the great song, "In the early morning rain" by Gordon Lightfoot has been recorded and/or performed by many.  Rather than post the videos, here is a list of some of have covered it.

George Hamilton IV  (he may be better known for singing the song "Abilene", country songs)
Kingston Trio
Peter Paul and Mary

Ian and Sylvia, Canadians like Lightfoot.
Grateful Dead

Oliver
Paul Weller

Neil Young Live

Bob Dylan

Judy Collins

Elvis
Jerry Lee Lewis

Jerry Reed
Chad and Jeremy

The list goes on.

So, I'm no big fan of "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" or "Sundown" and some of his other songs, but that Early Morning Rain is certainly grand.
