The first tourists expected to journey to the Moon may be in for a bumpy ride. While the prospect of traveling in a SpaceX spaceship in 2018 is exciting, experts said the experience may involve constant vomiting as the body goes into a shock from the difference in gravity.

“Like every single astronaut who goes into space, they're going to get... very bad motion sickness,” the Centre for Altitude Space and Extreme Environment Medicine in London’s Daniel Grant told Agence France-Presse. Other symptoms would include getting claustrophobic, a constant need to pee and exposure to radiation.

Elon Musk’s SpaceX made the announcement Monday that it would send two volunteers—who have already deposited a significant amount of money for the trip—on a mission in 2018 that would travel around the moon.

Yep worth it. I could stand to lose a few pounds.
“The way I see it, every time a man gets up in the morning he starts his life over. Sure, the bills are there to pay, and the job is there to do, but you don't have to stay in a pattern. You can always start over, saddle a fresh horse and take another trail.” ― Louis L'Amour

I'm guessing this would be primarily controlled from the ground.

I usually get sick on airplanes. It's worth it. Pop a Dramamine and I'm ok.
G-d bless America. G-d bless us all

Adopt a puppy or kitty from your local shelter
Or an older dog or cat. They're true love❤️

This article spikes high on my "Duh" meter. Meaning, to me it's mostly stating the obvious.

...

"Exposure to radiation" is not a "symptom".
Let it burn.

ScopeDex is what the space program usually uses.

You will be loopy.

Of course, the only occupants are the two passengers. Not exactly going to get luxury service on board.

Soooo...just like every other astronaut, ever.  Big deal.
My political philosophy:

1) I'm not bothering anybody.
2) It's none of your business.
3) Leave me alone!

The primary reason for early astronauts being chosen from the ranks of the air force fighter pilots was their tolerance for Gs in maneuvering.  Normal people puke readily to vestibular changes.  If the seats on the SpaceX flight are for sale to the highest bidder, an extra pack of vomit bags are probably called for.

Maybe you could get a temp job escorting them on Vomit Comet training flights.......

Chuck Yeager said he was never interested in NASA and NASA would have never chosen him. He said he was a daredevil and that was the last thing NASA wanted. He said they wanted pilots who would follow orders and they were also much more highly educated.

Its amazing how many of them passed through the University of Michigan. Even many of our modern astronauts pass through UofM like Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield.

Despite all the BS, UofM still provides some valuable training in the right areas.

I hate that damned aircraft.  Puking is a powerful force in that relationship.

And I'm pretty tolerant...

Someone needs to build a ship that goes from Earth orbit to the moon and back without having to launch another one for every mission. Use the capsules to send customers and supplies to it and return the customers to Earth afterwards.

Call it the USS Bucket List

The main reason for that is they have an excellent Aerospace Engineering program.
