Trump Is Unpopular, But Not As Unpopular As Liberals Think

Do you wonder why Donald Trump thinks he’s wildly popular beyond the nefarious precincts of those enemies of the people, the liberal news media? The president himself offered a succinct talking point on that subject near the beginning of his very non-succinct February 16 press conference.

A new Rasmussen poll, in fact – because the people get it – much of the media doesn’t get it. They actually get it, but they don’t write it. Let’s put it that way. But a new Rasmussen poll just came out just a very short while ago, and it has our approval rating at 55 percent and going up.

True to form, Trump cherry-picked the most favorable polling data available, and ignored the rest. But he could not do that — short of just, well, making stuff up, which is always an option for him — if it were not for an unusually wide range of findings in the polling universe about public attitudes toward the 45th president’s job performance so far.

Polls are generally cherry-picked to reflect the best outcome possible.  With all the fake news, the liberal media bias, the inaccuracy of the polls during the presidential election and the push to take President Trump down, I don't think there's a reliable poll out there. I would suspect he's much more popular than even this poll credits him.

   And then there's this:

Quinnipiac poll: Trump approval hits new low

 By Nikita Vladimirov - 02/22/17 02:38 PM EST   1comments

President Trump's approval rating has slipped to 38 percent, a new national poll finds.

The Quinnipiac University survey released on Wednesday says that only 38 percent of Americans approve of Trump's job performance, while 55 percent disapprove of the commander in chief.

According to Quinnipiac, the 17-point difference in Trump's approval rating is the worst he's fared in a poll since taking office in January.

An earlier survey from the pollster this month registered Trump with 42 percent approval and 51 percent disapproval.

“President Trump’s popularity is sinking like a rock," Tim Malloy, the assistant director of the poll, said in a statement announcing the findings.

"He gets slammed on honesty, empathy, level headedness and the ability to unite. And two of his strong points, leadership and intelligence, are sinking to new lows. This is a terrible survey one month in.”

Polls of Trump's approval rating have shown a wide disparity, according to data tracked by RealClearPolitics. Several others polls put the president's approval rating in the mid-40s, with the conservative-leaning Rasmussen putting his approval rating as high as 51 percent.

Not surprisingly, the Quinnipiac poll found a strong partisan divide in job approval ratings. An 83 percent majority of Republicans approve of the president, while 91 percent of Democrats disapprove of his job performance.

Trump's popularity also differs along gender lines, with 41 percent of men approving but only 36 percent of women approving. Fifty-nine percent of women in the poll disapprove of Trump's performance.

I believe he's more on the high end than low, Polls have become a tool of the Media and are becoming more and more useless.

No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.

And Hillary did beat Trump in popular vote. So the polls were accurate, at the national level.
