Quote
"He [Obama] has within him the possibility to change the direction and tone of American foreign policy, which need changing; his rise will serve as a practical rebuke to the past five years, which need rebuking; his victory would provide a fresh start in a nation in which a fresh start would come as a national relief.... There is something else. On Feb. 5, Super Tuesday, Mr. Obama won the Alabama primary with 56% to Hillary Clinton’s 42%. Birmingham, 1963, and the water hoses used against the civil rights demonstrators. And now look, the black man thanking Alabama for his victory.
This means nothing? This means a great deal."

I remember her using the occasion of Reagan's funeral to pontificate against an old competitor of her's from his administration. Struck me as rather self centered given the venue and the audience.

I think it's good we get the Liberal/Left/Hedonist/anti-Christian/Pro-Islam perspective couched in Conservative clothing on a Conservative forum.

Helps keep us all on our toes for those wolves that like to slip into the fold and attack the herd from within.
Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

I stopped listening to all of them.

Levin was the last one I decided to turn off.

I have no use for those who talk the Conservative game, and then surrendered it all for expedience or ratings.

Bump.

A recent thread has made this topic relevant again. But then isn't it always a relevant topic?

@Freya

I met Bob Grant at a WABC event at the Reo Diner in Woodbridge.  The guy is a legend, and all talkshow hosts stand on his shoulders.

I remember driving home at night in my parents' '64 Ford Falcon station wagon listening to Shep. Also, at one of his live shows at the Red Mill in Clinton, NJ, he singled me out as being the kid in the back laughing at a joke that even most adults in attendance didn't understand.

I've been to the Reo diner. Never saw Bob Grant, alas. He died at his daughter's house in Hillsboro. I guess he moved out of Edison the last bit of his life.
In college I had a manadatory speech class and the prof made us listen to Irv Homer out of Philly. He's gone too.

I listen to mostly Hannity, Levin, Lou Dobbs, David Webb and some Potus XMSerious people.

That has a lot to do with my schedule.

Don't do much radio, was given a Sirrius unit, and gave it away after a year, they wanted too much money for what I was getting out of it. When I did listen, I liked Ken Hamblin, who was offering his "Certificate of Absolution of White Guilt" free of charge at the time. I quit listening to Rush pretty much during the Clinton Administration, mainly because he would charge right up to the tough questions and stop, like a show horse balking at a jump. That just got tiresome.

That's exactly what he does.  Great observation.  Now I remember being frustrated by that.

I stopped listening to Rush shortly after he became syndicated. He lost something , at least to me with the national audience.

I first started listening to him around 2004, but I don't doubt that.

Were you a listener of Rush's 1984-1988 Sacramento show? He moved to NYC and went national in 1988, August 1 to be exact.

I listen to all sides, sometimes, it doesn't hurt to listen to NPR or when he wasn't making personal attacks on others, what Ed Schultz had to say. So, if I can tolerate it, I've listened to those across the spectrum. Having said that, I do like Rush, I will usually listen to Medved before Hannity; because Medved offers a bit of a thinking man's perspective but not that I always agree with him.

So, it's Rush, Larry Elder and then, everyone else. There's a few I don't care to listen to. The format of their show is not very good in my view.
