Oh.  Well, that settles it then - I didn't know you had your finger on the pulse of Englishmen everywhere.  I defer to your omniscience.

Neat about your son, @Victoria33!  I don't know whether the History Channel shows much History or Hitler anymore!

My contact with Brits in general is that there's a split, sure, but more lean strongly anti-Trump than in favour.

64% of Brits now back Brexit
Westmonster, Feb 12, 2017

In an incredible endorsement of the Brexit process that the country is now undertaking, 64% of Brits now oppose the blocking of Brexit.

The ComRes poll found that 64% of Brits disagreed that the Labour Party should try and block Brexit, with less than 1 in 4 agreeing.

I think the President and Nigel Farage are going to have a terrific turnout!!!  It would appear President Trump just might be welcomed with open arms by the majority of Brits!    ^-^

You are going to have to remind me what Trump had to do with Brexit. I seem to have forgotten.

Your assignment, should you choose to accept it, is to Google the link between "Les Deplorables" stateside and in Britain.

Enjoy!

There isn't one, other than in the wishful thinking posts of those who consider the US to be the center of the universe. But you knew that.

Quick, eh?

I do note, in your careful mockery of Victoria's knowledge of what the average English man in the street thinks of Trump, you are being exquisitely cautious not to even seem to ask the actual English guy on the board what the thought is.

Just my opinion (I don't have the connections to "prove" what I say), but I think the Trump and Brexit movements have a lot of similarity.  What detractors like to call "Nationalism".  I think that most people that like Nigel Farage might also like Trump.  I'm not going to make any sweeping pronouncements about how many Brits like or hate Trump, though.  The truth is, I just don't know how many of the English would want to see Trump......not sure anyone would know that until it happens.

Lethargic is a more accurate description.

To be honest, sister mine, I have no idea how many would want to see him either.

I mean, there's going to be a bit of an attraction - "look at the elephants, Ma!" if nothing else - but how much I couldn't say. I will say that among the people I know at home he's actually, well, not thought about much at all. He's about as relevant to them as the PM of Malaysia.

Good to see you again. Still got my bits of conscience tucked away safe?

Of course there is zero chance he is influenced (or you by connection)  by the government owned (socialist) BBC, or the liberal media in general.

Well, he seemed to be against it, the way he cheered how Scotland voted (against it).
