NH Senate approves 'right-to-work' bill, elimination of permits to carry concealed

CONCORD, N.H. —

Right-to-work legislation that targets unions cleared an early hurdle Thursday in the New Hampshire Legislature, winning approval from the state Senate.

Senators also passed a bill removing the licensing requirement to carry a concealed gun. The same bill passed last session but was vetoed by then-Gov. Maggie Hassan, a Democrat. This year, it's likely to pass the House and be signed by Republican Gov. Chris Sununu. It would mean anyone who can legally own a gun can carry it concealed.

Exactly what my state's legislature did when, after 80+ years of Democrat rule, we finally had a Republican majority.

It is shame that our former governor was successful in becoming New Hampshire's new junior U.S. Senator. But a major benefit is that we gained a Republican governor who will stop sucking up to the public sector unions and vetoing sensible legislation.
