"Massive wealth gap"
"You have to come here and see it for yourself"
These are both very true statements about China's wealth. I was in China for three months in 2016.
Shanghai, Beijing, nuclear power plant sites...immaculate, modern, very high tech. Impressive.
Just outside of these areas (I mean at their border)...rubble, poor lighting, dirt roads, feral dogs
I did not see a single nice single family home in China. The wealthy live in apartments. The poor live in squalor. There is almost nothing in-between.
