Pendant unearthed at Nazi death camp may be connected to Anne Frank, researchers say
A pendant unearthed in an excavation of Sobibór, a Nazi death camp in Poland, is thought to have belonged to a young girl who may have had ties to Anne Frank.

January 15, 2017 —A pendant unearthed at one of the most infamous Nazi death camps may hold a connection to Anne Frank, researchers say.

The triangular pendant was discovered by researchers excavating the remains of the Sobibór death camp in Poland, and appears identical to one that belonged to Anne Frank, said officials at Israel's Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial on Sunday. On one side of the pendant are the words "Mazal Tov" written in Hebrew, along with the date of birth of its owner. The other side features the Hebrew letter "heh," an initial for God, and three Stars of David.

So, this wasn't a prison dogtag it looks like but rather, a pendant.

Really interesting article. The pendant isn't related to Anne Frank however. They think they know the identity of the owner. Anne's birthday is different than the date shown on the pendant.  The only connection seems to be that they could have been in the same camp and both born in Frankfurt.

It was sad to read about the other jewelry found that they think fell through the floorboards as the victims were being led to the gas chambers.
