Macy's plunge: 'Cutting 10,000 jobs' since dissing Trump
Here's massive list of retail locations that company is closing
Published: 14 hours ago

In the battle of Macy’s vs. Donald Trump, it appears the clear loser continues to be Macy’s.

On Wednesday, the retailer announced disappointing holiday sales, prompting its stock to drop more than 9 percent.

The company also released the locations of 68 of the 100 stores it plans to close, with more than 10,000 jobs reportedly being eliminated.

CNBC reported: ” As part of Wednesday’s announcement Macy’s said it will eliminate layers of management to cut costs and make more agile decisions. It also will work to reduce other non-payroll costs. As a result of these steps, the company estimates its work force will be cut by 6,200. Another 3,900 workers will be displaced by the store closures and some of these employers could be reassigned.”

And Trump being the obnoxious piece of lowlife garbage he is, celebrates Americans being put out of work because their employer "dissed" him.

Where has Trump commented on, or "celebrated" this announcement?

My mistake, this is from last year when the piece of garbage was celebrating their collapse.

Macy's has been circling the drain for a while.

Its following Sears & JC Penny, Mervyns and the rest of the old department stores.

This is just the MSM looking for ways to counter the ostensibly positive job stories coming out.

Amazon and online sales have put Macy's employees out of a job. Trump did not criticize neither Sears or K-mart and look where  they are at.

Macy's was bleeding before Trump even ran for President.

Remember how they inflated that price in '14? Shuttering stores and trying to set up a real estate development trust. It was all bullshit and the bottom fell out to where it should have been. They have been dead man walking since '09.

I'm sure Trump is the root cause... NOT

Macy's screwed the pooch long ago.  They are the MySpace of brick and mortar department stores. .  They have made a long line of marketing mistakes going back when the bought Chicago's Marshall Fields and threw that great brand name away thinking people in the midwest gave two shits about Macy's.   Dumb ass New Yorkers.

June 16, 2015 was the day Donald Trump announced he was running for President.

2 more dates of interest: July 26, 2015, the day Trump declared Macy's should be boycotted due to its financial support for Planned Parenthood

Dec 8, 2016, Macy's announces it will no longer financially contribute to PP.  http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/dec/8/macys-stops-funding-planned-parenthood/

They must be slow learners as they chose to allow $10bn of shareholder market value to escape prior to addressing the hemorrhaging.  That's almost $20 million a day.

They've been hemorrhaging jobs for years, long before Trump. See: desperation tactic of opening on Thanksgiving, which was long before Trump.

10,000 American Jobs Lost!

yay!

This is just the MSM looking for ways to counter the ostensibly positive job stories coming out.

These chains, and others, became anchor stores for malls.  Now with the rioting and looting of "young people," shoppers no longer feels safe and with good reason so their sales don't justify the cost.  What has the law done to stem this tide of lawlessness, absolutely nothing.

If our local Macy's collapses, I'm going to have to drive to Columbus to buy the clothes I usually get there, and I will not be happy about that.  (I hate shopping).

Our mall is safe and Macy's has the best deals and nicest clothes for the money.  I hope they get it together.

(And I'm quite sure that none of this has anything to do with Trump).
Character still matters.  It always matters.

I wear a mask as an exercise in liberty and love for others.  To see it as an infringement of liberty is to entirely miss the point.  Be kind.

Use the time God is giving us to seek His will and feel His presence.
