Whoa!

I've heard them a few times (with other acts) long, long ago.  I hope Eddie Montgomery wasn't on board.

Do you know the way to San Jose?

I've been away so long. I may go wrong and lose my way....

Yes and I also know the way out.

They had a great run in the early 2000s. I know because my kids went through a country music phase about that time. RIP

Yeah, my first thought was, "So young..." and then realized, "Oh, yeah, nearly 20 years ago...I wasn't old then, either..."

It appears that country singer Don Williams has died as well today at 78 after a brief illness.

Bad month or so for country, rock and pop. Particularly for the old timers.

A true country legend.

I knew him before he became one.  Long time ago he worked as a shift electrician in the Cities Service (now Valero) refinery at Three RiversTexas.
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

See the late Gregg Allman immortalized in portrait created from his own blood

The late Gregg Allman’s final studio album, Southern Blood, is set for release September 8 — and the deluxe package and first run of the vinyl will include something extra special. Allman and his daughter Layla Brooklyn commissioned a portrait from award-winning surrealist Vincent Castiglia…painted with Allman’s actual blood, and the blood of his children.

Yahoo Music is excited to exclusively premiere a time-lapse video of Castiglia painting the portrait, which shows both his extraordinary skill and his care for the subject.

The portrait is good, but blood?  He was known to have Hepatitis C.
I disagree.  Circle gets the square.

That is bizarre. Dunno how I feel about it.

Reminds me of the colorful but tragic past of the wooly mammoths, @Wingnut. They were a dyeing breed.

Are you kidding? EVERYONE wants to be from San Jose.

@skeeter

I have a half-brother that has lived in the same house in San Jose ever since he was born. He'd like to live somewhere else, but seems to be afraid of making a change to the unknown.
