Soon after Trump's announcement speech, I said he would win the nomination and likely the election. It wasn't that hard to predict. For anyone familiar with the Republican Party's repeated betrayals of the American people, it was a 2-foot putt.


I issue this warning with the same certitude -- in fact, for the exact same reason I knew anyone running on Trump's platform would have unbreakable support from millions of voters.


What coalesced Trump's base, what made his support tempered steel, was the fact that voters had been lied to, over and over again -- on many things, but most smugly and repeatedly on immigration.

Yesterday I caught a snippet of Rush Limbaugh.  Some caller was freaking out about how Trump had to build the wall and he was finished if he didn't.  Rush said "I never believed he meant an actual wall, he never meant that". 
Then not 5 minutes later Limbaugh said "Trump is so popular because he always says what he means." 
I swear I don't understand these people, i get whiplash just trying to understand.

I consider Trump an ally in the sense the USSR was an ally of the US during WWII.

But I have no illusions about him being an ideological match as Rush and other self professed conservatives seem to think he is. I don't understand their slavish devotion to the man.

Well I see no difference between Trump supporters and Obama supporters in '08. Every single day another promise is broken from Donny and not one of them is holding his feet to the fire. He railed against Goldman but hires Goldman people. He said he would drain the swamp and then goes Cabinet shopping in the 202 area code. Was all for throwing Hitlary in jail, until he had the power to pursue it and then he said "she's been through enough". Was all against Obamacare, but now is a huge supporter again of the 2 most expensive parts of it and wants to keep it.

And this is just in a couple weeks of being President elect.

That is true. I think she tanked her whole career with that series of tweets. She certainly changed my opinion of her.
