Ole Miss Pulls ‘Sanctuary Campus’ Proposal After Backlash

Breitbart Texas

by JOHN BINDER 30 Nov 2016 Oxford, MS 21

The University of Mississippi Student Body Senate has pulled a resolution which would have created a “sanctuary campus” for illegal immigrant students and banned federal immigration officials from stepping foot on campus after overwhelming backlash.

Hours after Breitbart Texas reported on the push to make Ole Miss a sanctuary campus, the resolution was pulled from being voted on by the Student Senate after alumni and the general public flooded the university’s and Sen. Chris McDaniel’s (R-Ms) office with concerns over the resolution, according to Mississippi Pep.

Ban Federal immigration officials? Not bloody possible if the if the University accepts even one dollar of federal money, unless of course it ends up business as usual at the top.
