Coalition denies death of 5 US soldiers in northern Syria

A coalition spokesperson on Sunday denied reports that US coalition soldiers were killed in an ISIS-led explosion that targeted a munitions storage depot in the Kurdish town of Tel Temir, in Syria’s northeastern Hasakah Governorate.
“OIRSpox is aware of reports indicating 5 CJTFOIR troops were killed in Syria. These reports are incorrect; it’s misinformation,” Air Force Col John L. Dorrian Spokesman for Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR), the US-led coalition against ISIS said on Sunday.
Reports circulated on social media and broadcasted by TRT and al-Arabiya channels claimed that US soldiers were killed in the blast.
