University of California-Berkeley

The University of California at Berkeley is a public research institution located in Berkeley, California. Founded in 1868, the Berkeley campus is its largest and oldest campus of the ten within the University of California system.

UC Berkeley offers about 350 undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Berkeley faculty and alumni have won 72 Nobel Prizes, 45 MacArthur Fellowships, 20 Academy Awards, 14 Pulitzer Prizes, 9 Wolf Prizes, 13 Field Medals, 22 Turing Awards, and 105 Olympic gold medals. The Academic Ranking of World Universities ranks UC Berkeley as fourth in the world overall.
