The dean of the University of Arkansas’ Bowen School of Law is resigning after a four-year tenure marked by repeated clashes with faculty and students.

Last year, one professor was forced to file a FOIA lawsuit after Schwartz refused to release data for a study into the effects of race-based admissions policies.

More recently, Schwartz came under fire for offering free counselling services to students who "feel upset" following the "most upsetting, most painful, most disturbing election season of my lifetime.”
