Other than 'the American' (the replacement for the Stig), it is a very good show. A lot to like from the original Top Gear without the filters and a bigger budget.

The Stig must have been "owned" by the BBC I guess

Jay could have been a perfect host for Top Gear on History.

I thought that until I started watching Jay Leno's garage. It may be the production, but it is very, very dry. He knows his cars and can uses his own collection, but for the most part, it just seems to not have the pow one would expect. It seems to be somewhere closer to Motor Week than Top Gear.

Yep. There was an entire list of things the Grand Tour couldn't say or do on their show because it was copy-written by BBC.
