Mexican Diplomats Rush to Assist Nationals in U.S. After Trump Win

Mexico’s Foreign Ministry has begun a series of immediate actions in their various consulates in the U.S., just days after the November 8 presidential election. Consular authorities are asking Mexicans to avoid conflict and actions that could get them arrested.
On Wednesday, Mexico’s Foreign Ministry issued a prepared statement titled “We are with you”. In their statement, Mexico’s top diplomats claim to be trying to keep Mexican nationals living in the U.S. from falling victim to abuses and fraud.
