PIX CONFIDENCE METER: 78

VEGAS PICK: Steelers by 21

PIX BREAKDOWN: This is the eighth straight week that Pix players have picked the Cowboys as faves. We had many players asking us if we got the opening line right here. More than 70 percent of players like the Cowboys to win with an AMOV of 7.43. But the minority is mighty here, as 82 percent of the Steelers picks are by 10 points or more.

This is the biggest gap in picks between Pix and Vegas this week by far.

“So many variables here. Cowboys are looking to keep showing they’re legit. Steelers are looking to put an embarrassing loss far in the rear view mirror. I just like the Dallas talent more in just about every position matchup,” said one Pix player.

ZACK JONES BREAKDOWN: “Pittsburgh over Dallas by 21 Dallas hasn’t lost since opening week. The Cowboys have rattled off seven consecutive victories. Impressive, yes. But when there’s talk coming out of “Big D” about the Cowboys possibly going 14-2 it’s time to say whoa doggies. Dallas is fat and happy with a two-game NFC East Division lead on the Giants.

The Cowboys just enjoyed a nice stroll in the park against hapless and helpless Cleveland. Now comes the Steelers, a gritty bunch locked into a tie with Baltimore for the division lead in the AFC North with Cincinnati one-half game behind. The Steelers are off a bad loss to the Ravens.

This is a circle-the-wagons game for the Steelers saddled with a three-game losing streak. Ben Roethlisberger has gotten the rust off after returning last week from three weeks of inactivity. Roethlisberger also was on the road where he has a 19-to-19 touchdown-to-interception ratio since 2014. That ratio turns into 51-to-13 at Heinz Field. Antonio Brown becomes the best receiver in football again with Roethlisberger under center.

If there’s one all-purpose back as good – if not better – than Ezekiel Elliott or David Johnson it’s Le’Veon Bell when he has Roethlisberger setting him up. The Steelers, unlike the pathetic Browns, can exploit a banged-up Dallas secondary missing cornerback Morris Claiborne and safety Barry Church. The Cowboys don’t generate much of a pass rush either.

The key for Dallas is controlling the ball with Elliott and a dominant offensive line. Rookie Dak Prescott has exceeded even the wildest expectations, but he has yet to forge a connection with Dez Bryant, who isn’t nearly as effective without Tony Romo. The Steelers’ defense has gotten better with the return to health of linebacker Ryan Shazier and lineman Cameron Heyward. PITTSBURGH 35-14. Late money is shifting toward the Cowboys.”

If there is any of that 'giving Dallas 21 points' money around...    I want all of it!
