Gingrich Attacks Kelly, Trump Attacks Ryan. This Isn't About Beating Hillary. It's A Scam.

BY: BEN SHAPIRO
OCTOBER 26, 2016

On Tuesday night, Donald Trump surrogate Newt Gingrich appeared on Megyn Kelly’s show, where she asked him about new allegations of sexual abuse by Donald Trump against women. The exchange has made major headlines, with Trump supporters cheering on Gingrich’s aggressiveness, and Kelly supporters cheering on her cool in the face of Gingrich’s aggressiveness. Here’s the full exchange.

This led Trump adviser Dan Scavino Jr. to tweet, in full Trumpian exclamation-point-laden syntax:

So, here’s the question: does any of this look at the activity of a campaign that wants to win?

Women have been poisoned to the GOP brand by this election cycle. According to the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll, Clinton has 55 percent to Trump’s 35 percent. Among college-educated white women, Clinton leads 62 percent to 30 percent. By comparison, Barack Obama beat Mitt Romney by a margin of 56 percent to 44 percent among women. Romney won college-educated white women outright.

The gender gap is killing Republicans. So naturally, Trump surrogates are accusing the most popular female news host in the country of being obsessed with sex. That’s the same host Trump accused of asking him tough questions about women because she was on her period. Genius.

But the goal of this campaign is not to win. It hasn’t been for quite a while. It’s to generate a civil war post-election between Trump and everyone else, in order to keep Trump’s brand alive and in order to capitalize off that civil war. Trump has now cancelled all high-dollar fundraisers, undercutting the GOP efforts to hold the Senate. Trump has no ground game, so that means he’s also undercutting the only organization dedicated to getting out the vote for him. But there’s good news: he’s spending time today opening his new hotel in Washington, D.C.

Meanwhile, Trump’s team plans a new war against Speaker of the House Paul Ryan after the election. According to The New York Times, “Some in the deeply factionalized Republican Party, including Mr. Trump and some of his senior aides, are already fanning the flames for a revolt against the House speaker, Representative Paul D. Ryan of Wisconsin, once Congress reconvenes after the election.” Yesterday, Trump said, “The people are very angry with the leadership of this party, because this is an election that we will win, 100 percent, if we had support from the top.”

I predicted all of this back in August. Trump’s fading brand now relies on building a stabbed-in-the-back myth, and on creating a new civil war for him to fight against the “saboteurs” for his own personal benefit. Because passions currently run high – and because most Republicans rightly fear and despise Hillary Clinton – a bizarre unwillingness to face the reality of Trump’s real campaign agenda, because Trump must win. Trump supporters want Trump to win more than he does, and some of them are desperately pinning their hopes on a man who has already moved on to the next scam, even if that means cheering on a campaign busily destroying the Republican brand for an entire generation of voters.

Trump will have no cred after the election, especially if he loses big.  All but his most loyal symps will ignore him, forget they ever knew him on November 9.

So any efforts he makes to screw with Republican House leadership won't have a chance in hell.

My favorite part of Gingrich's response is, "You are fascinated by sex!"

Ha - isn't this the SAME defense libtards used to dismiss people who brought up Bill Clinton's predatory past? "It's just sex! It's nobody's business!"
How to lose credibility while posting:
1. Trump is never wrong.
2. Default to the most puerile emoticon you can find. This is especially useful when you can't win an argument on merits.
3. Be falsely ingratiating, completely but politely dismissive without talking to the points, and bring up Hillary whenever the conversation is really about conservatism.
4. When all else fails, remember rule #1 and #2. Emoticons are like the poor man's tweet!
