I'm of the "no matter who wins, this country is in serious trouble unless the Republicans in Congress grow a spine" school of thought.
The country is in trouble more because the younger generations of Americans are year by year becoming more leftist. The two present awful candidates are basically only symptons of the national disease of "creeping socialism."
I remember back in high school fifty years ago one of my teachers telling the class that "creeping socialism" was a huge problem even then. I sort of laughed privately thinking he was just an old fogey (he was only about 35 years old), and just spouting right-wing nonsense. Government was good I thought.
As it turns out he was 100% correct. That is still the biggest national problem...ever increasing numbers of citizens who think socialism is the way to go.
