Desperate search for gunman after 2 Oklahoma officers shot, 2 others dead

A manhunt was under way in Oklahoma Monday for a suspect accused of shooting and wounding two police officers with an AK-47 and stealing their patrol car, as investigators found two of his relatives dead in a home where he'd apparently been hiding.

The suspect, Michael Vance, allegedly shot one Wellston police officer in the foot and another in the legs. Doctors released both officers from the hospital, KOCO-TV reported.

Nope, not Obama's imaginary son, but he is a child molester.

... Vance is described as a white man, about 5 feet 10 inches tall who weighs about 185 pounds, police said. Anyone with information about him is asked to call 911.

Police said he is still believed to be armed with the AK-47...

Hopefully when he's found, he'll provide the cops with a justifiable reason to kill him.

He apparently has taunted police with online posts while on the run, and he's still on the run.

Police and federal marshals in Oklahoma continued their search on Tuesday for a suspect in a double homicide who has shot six people, including two police officers, and is thought to be wielding an AK-47.

The man live streamed his escape on Facebook after wounding two officers and fleeing in their patrol car, saying that things were "going to be intense," according to an affidavit released on Monday night.

Police also said the suspect, 38-year-old Michael Vance, has a communicable disease that he "may attempt to spread."

Vance has thus far been charged with two counts of murder, one count of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and possession of a firearm after conviction of a felony, according to the court documents. He was recently released from the Lincoln County Jail in Oklahoma on accusations of child sexual assault.  ...

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Manhunt for Oklahoma Decapitation Suspect Continues
    By sean murphy, associated press
OKLAHOMA CITY — Oct 25, 2016, 12:34 PM ET

Authorities have been hunting for more than 24 hours for an Oklahoma man they say posted live videos to social media while running from police during a violent rampage that included shooting two police officers, armed car thefts and killing his aunt and uncle, apparently attempting to cut off their heads.

Michael Dale Vance Jr., a 38-year-old man from Chandler, Oklahoma, is wanted on multiple charges, including two counts of first-degree murder. Police say he was last seen early Monday about 30 miles from the Texas border in western Oklahoma — 165 miles away from where the manhunt began Sunday night in Wellston.

The two police officers were shot and wounded as they responded to shots fired Sunday evening in Wellston, about 35 miles northeast of Oklahoma City. The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office said one person was arrested, but Vance fled in a patrol vehicle. The officers' injuries weren't life-threatening, and both are expected to recover, said Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Jessica Brown.

Vance is suspected of later shooting a woman and stealing her vehicle at a mobile home park near Wellston, then driving about 8 miles to the mobile home of his aunt and uncle in Luther and killing them, Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office spokesman Mark Opgrande said.

Ronald Everett Wilkson, 55, had been shot and had stab wounds to his neck "consistent with an attempt to sever his head," Oklahoma County Sheriff's Deputy Michael Belanger wrote in an arrest affidavit. Valerie Kay Wilkson, 54, had similar neck wounds along with defensive wounds on her arms, the affidavit stated.

Investigators found a large knife covered in blood inside the home, along with a blood-stained shirt and two shell casings from a round typically fired from an AK-47-style assault rifle.

Opgrande said authorities also believe Vance filmed two Facebook Live videos documenting his run from police before going to the Wilksons' home.

In one video, a man wearing a backward baseball cap and a shirt that appears to be covered in blood says he's about to steal another vehicle and that it's "gonna be intense." In another, which seems to be filmed inside a second vehicle, the same man says: "Letting y'all know, look, this is real," before panning to a long gun on the passenger seat.

He said: "If you want to know what's up next, stay tuned to your local news."  ...  Rest of story.

Oklahoma gunman wanted for violent crimes had hit list, police say
Published October 26, 2016 FoxNews.com

The man accused of murdering two of his relatives before shooting two Oklahoma police officers and sparking a manhunt wrote up a hit list that appeared target as many as eight more people, investigators revealed Wednesday.

Michael Vance Jr., a 38-year-old man from Chandler, Oklahoma, is wanted on multiple charges, including two counts of first-degree murder. He was last seen early Monday about 30 miles from the Texas border in western Oklahoma -- 165 miles from where the manhunt began Sunday night in Wellston.

Law enforcement officers told Fox 25 they believed he still had the AK-47 used earlier in the crime spree. In addition, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol told KWTV Vance has HIV/AIDS and is willing to spread it.

He may be headed to Las Vegas, the city's Metropolitan Police Department told KTNV.  ...More from FOX News.

Massive Oklahoma manhunt ends with suspect in killings dead
The Associated Press 4 hrs ago

LEEDEY, Okla.  •  A massive, weeklong manhunt for a suspect in a string of violent crimes, including the killing of two relatives, the shooting of three law enforcement officers and multiple carjackings, has ended in a police chase and shootout that left the man dead in western Oklahoma.

Authorities believe Michael Dale Vance Jr. filmed two Facebook Live videos documenting his run from police. An Oklahoma state trooper shot and killed Vance late Sunday near Leedey, 130 miles northwest of Oklahoma City, and 45 miles north of where he was last seen a week earlier.

Earlier Sunday, Vance shot and wounded a Dewey County officer and fled in a car, according to Dave Turk, spokesman for the U.S. Marshals Service in Washington, D.C., which participated in the manhunt.

Officers pursued Vance for about half an hour when he was approached by an Oklahoma state trooper.

"There was an exchange of gunfire between the state trooper and the subject, and the subject was killed," Turk said.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol Chief Ricky Adams described the shootout as "pretty dramatic."

"We pinned him down," Adams told The Oklahoman newspaper. "He's dead ... It was an extremely good job of police work by every agency involved."

Vance was wanted on multiple charges, including two counts of first-degree murder. The hunt began after he shot and wounded two police officers on Oct. 23 in Wellston, 35 miles northeast of Oklahoma City, authorities said.

Vance, 38, was suspected of shooting a woman and stealing her vehicle at a mobile home park near Wellston, then driving about 8 miles to his relatives' mobile home in Luther and killing them.

Ronald Everett Wilkson, 55, had been shot and had stab wounds to his neck "consistent with an attempt to sever his head," an arrest affidavit said. Valerie Kay Wilkson, 54, had similar neck wounds along with defensive wounds on her arms, the affidavit stated.

Probably the best ending, all things considered.
