He went a little far, but so did Hillary. I think more so on her part and it appeared to me that Melania took offense.  I don't think Trump did any harm to himself.  He ended his little skit well.  She in my opinion, ended her little skit with a 'look at me' moment.

Big question though ... where was Billy Bob??

OBAMA poked fun at himself at that dinner and was geniuanly funny.  TRUMP is incapable of poking fun at himself.

Man just get these two a mud pit.   I watched the whole thing.  Trump started with some jokes and then it just plain got bad.  People started reacting.  Faces went from laugh to astounded.  Then Hillary came on and got the last laugh.  These two suck and they couldn't have so many raunchy punch lines if they weren't equally bad.

Anybody but Trump would have noticed that it wasn't working and change course.  He had to do it.  And he was going to make sure he said it all.

Donald J. Trump began this quadrennial exercise in campaign humility and self-deprecation on Thursday by comparing himself to the son of God — just another “carpenter working for his father” in his youth.

By the end, facing cascading and uncomfortable jeers from a crowd full of white ties and gowns, he had called Hillary Clinton Catholic-hating, “so corrupt” and potentially jail-bound in a prospective Trump administration.

“I don’t know who they’re angry at, Hillary, you or I,” Mr. Trump said sheepishly from the dais, turning to his opponent amid the heckling.

It seemed clear to everyone else. Mr. Trump was being booed at a charity dinner.

How to lose credibility while posting:
1. Trump is never wrong.
2. Default to the most puerile emoticon you can find. This is especially useful when you can't win an argument on merits.
3. Be falsely ingratiating, completely but politely dismissive without talking to the points, and bring up Hillary whenever the conversation is really about conservatism.

On the other, he probably only pissed off the elite, the common man feels no affinity for this bunch.

Rudy ran for senate against Hillary.  He was diagnosed with prostate cancer and dropped out.   He was VERY unpopular in NY.  Even with his successful policing and life saving the denizens of NY continued to hate him. There were signs all over NY likening him to Musellini.  (sp)  Further, he was in an ugly ugly spat with his wife Donna.

Trump was booed for telling the NYC elites the truth about Hillary Clinton.

1) Clinton DID under oath to Congress and the FBI about her handling of classified data

2) The media IS rigging the election in her favor

3) Her campaign IS antagonistic toward traditional Catholics
